1 – Induction cooktop not heating after installation
2 – Unstable power supply
The induction cooktop heating slowly or not heating for a long time while cooking can cause food to take a long time to cook or not cook at all, possibly due to your home’s power supply being unstable, with insufficient electricity to power the cooktop. When starting the system, you need to observe how the induction cooktop symbols are displayed on the LED screen; if these icons are flashing continuously or showing voltage error codes (like E1, E2), then this is a sign that the current going into the cooktop is too weak.
The causes of the induction cooktop not heating can also be due to a loose socket, slipping out, causing the power supply to be unstable, transmitting energy unevenly. If you continue to cook, it may spoil the food and reduce the lifespan of the cooktop. The best way to handle this is to check the power supply line and the cooktop socket.
With these 2 causes of the induction cooktop not heating, you can fix them at home. However, there are many other causes that may require you to take the machine to a repair shop for them to disassemble and check. Internal faults of the induction cooktop that cause it not to heat include:
3 – Burnt heating coil or faulty, rusty halogen bulb

To check the heating coil or halogen bulb, you need to use a multimeter to measure the power of the heating coil to see if the coil is burnt. If the multimeter shows the resistance of the coil is between 10 to 50 ohms, then the coil is still functioning well. If the heating coil is burnt or rusty, you need to replace it with a new coil.
You should also check the 2 heating coils connected to other points on the circuit board for any breaks or poor contact. Carefully check the pins and bridges in the induction cooktop circuit to avoid missing anything.
4 – Power transistor is unstable or has failed
The cooktop operating for a long time or running at too high a temperature can cause the induction cooktop’s IC to fail. If this condition occurs continuously without being addressed, combined with poor heat dissipation, it can indirectly lead to a large amount of heat accumulating under the glass surface, increasing the risk of the induction cooktop burning the glass surface or cracking the protective components above.
The induction cooktop’s IC, power transistor failing or being unstable causes internal circuit faults in the induction cooktop. Check by measuring with a multimeter. If the power transistor is unstable, the induction cooktop not heating is the most common issue. You need to replace the power transistor or related accessories to prevent damage from spreading to related components.
